15-year-old female student, Deng, was going to graduate this year. Her family discovered her lying in bed without breathing at 6 am two days ago. The hospital diagnosis was “asleep epistaxis airway obstructuction died of soffocation.” However besides the history of customary epistaxis and heart disease, prosecutor discovered Deng’s abdominal was slightly swelling. It was suspected that the cause of death was not simple and autopsy will be carried out to clarify the cause of the death.

Police said that Deng’s father was going to her daughter’s room to wake her up at 6 am, but he found her nose bleeding and motionless. He moved his hand to her daughter’s nose and found that she was not breathing. He immediately sent her daughter to Hukow Love and Mercy Hospital and then transferred to a hospital in Taipei County for emergency rescue but before that there was no sign of life.

The hospital diagnosis of the cause of death was “respiratory obstructive sleep epistaxis died of suffocation.”

The family told the police that the daughter had a routine nosebleed since young and had been examine at hospital routinely. The most recent examine was the beginning of this year but could not find the cause of epistaxis. Recently Deng was trying to prepare for a test and tried to wake up at 6am to study. The family was shocked and self-reproach for her sudden death.

They also said that Deng had congenital heart disease history but it never went bad before. They had no comment or guess for the cause of the accident death.

Hsinchu prosecutors asked Taoyuan prosecution department to investigate together. There was no obvious wound found on the corpse except cadaveric ecchymoses and nosebleed. Prosecutors noticed that Deng’s abdomen was slightly swelling and doubt that the cause of death. They suspected the she was under a long term medication or the external force caused the swelling. Autopsy will be carried out.

However the family members strongly opposed the idea of autopsy and requested to let Deng to be buried peacefully as soon as possible. Prosecutors believed the cause of death was not clear and autopsy must be carried out to learn the real cause of the death.

The school said that Deng was outstanding in her schoolwork and passed her first test with flying colours. She could entered her desired school easily and the school did not understand why she prepared for second test so relentlessly.

Her teacher also said that Deng was a little Chinese teacher in her class. She was cheerful and lively. There was no sign of her in relationship in school. The principal stressed that it was impossible for Deng to be pregnant. Her teacher said that Deng’s routine nosebleed did not bring any problem to her study and she did not take leave frequently.
