18Jul Charged For Replacing Bar Code To Save 10 Bucks
Lin from Changhua County was shipping at a shopping mall. He tried to save 10 bucks, so he replaced the original bread bar code with the special deals bar code. Lin was buying “whole wheat bread” and due to price hike, Lin decided to replace the bread 50 dollars bar code with the 40 dollars one. When the cashier was scanning the bar code, he noticed the bar code had been replaced. He reported to the police immediately. Police arrested the guy on the spot and accused him for fraud. He could be sentenced for five years. Officer Zhuang Shengxiong advised the publics not to steal or tear off the bar code for the sake of saving money.
