06Aug Guizhou Boys Damaged Four Brand-New BMW By Throwing Stones At Them


Five boys from Guizhou, aged 8- to 15-year-old, felt that it was fun throwing stones at the passing trailer. The consequence of doing so was that four imported BMW cars were smashed. The driver reported to the police and found the kids’ parents for compensation. It is estimated that it takes more than three hundred thousand to repair all damaged cars, but the parents only willing to give appropriate amount of 5000 Yuan. The driver then sat on the ground and cried, “How am I going to afford this?”

5000 yuan is about US$700. Not enough for fixing 4 BMWs. But maybe a starting point for negotiations.
300,000 yuan is about US$10k per car. The estimate is kind of high. Even for BMWs. How big are those rocks anyway?
Is the driver running his own transport company? A quick phone call back to HQ from the police station, and his boss will immediately send someone over to squeeze more money out of those parents.
