10Jan After Stealing Wallet, Pickpocket Wants To Make Friend With The Victim
On December 30th, 2008, a lady Miss Zhang was shopping at South Gate street, Baodi avenue. Later she found out that her wallet was stolen. There were 600 Yuan cash, identity card and name cards in the stolen wallet. It was New Year eve and the traffic on the street was massive. Miss Zhang gave up the hope of looking back the wallet and did not report to the police as well.
On the same night, Miss Zhang received a SMS from an unknown phone number. The sender of the message claimed that he was the one who stole her wallet this morning. He said that he was regret after stealing the wallet and hope Miss Zhang will forgive him. Getting a sudden inspiration, Miss Zhang tried to engage a conversation with the sender and the sender gradually become off guard. After knowing Miss Zhang was still single, he told Miss Zhang he was in love with her at first sight and wish to make friend with her.
In order to catch the pickpocket, Miss Zhang told the stealer that as long as he apologized to her face to face and returned her the wallet, she will forgave him and hang out with him. The overjoyed pickpocket immediately dated her to meet on the next day 10 am in front of Quan Bao supermarket, Baodi avenue. Their meeting code was carrying a rose on the hand.
After confirming the meeting procedures, Miss Zhang immediately called 110 to report to the police. Bao-Ping police station sent an ambush team near the meeting location. When the guy with the rose arrived preparing to meet Miss Zhang in great delight, he was arrested by the police.
