03Feb Man Commits Suicide By Stabbing Own Anus
This could be one of the stupidest ways to commit suicide.
A 58-year-old man from Tongshan, Jiangsu was taken to hospital for emergency rescue due to poisoning. The emergency treatments done by the doctor were ineffective. After careful examination, the doctor had a startling discovery. There was a sharp knife in the man’s body. The doctor took the knife out from transverse colon at lower right of abdomen through surgery. The dagger was 19 centimetres long!
According to the doctor, the knife was pushed into the body from the anus. The doctor said the patient’s live was saved due to timely rescue and the knife did not hurt any crucial parts of the body. However intra-abdominal infection, AIDS, organ failure and other complications might occur to the man.
The suicido’s nephew said that the man’s surname was Liu. His wife left him ten years ago and he had a 80-year-old mother and one teenage son. His lived a poor life and he had long been suffering from cholecystitis. He said that Liu committed suicide may be due to the hard life. According to the nephew, the surgery costs thousands, and he was busy raising money to pay the surgery bill.
This was definitley a cruel way to end his own live.

The knife was too small. Not that it’s not long enough, it’s just really narrow. It would hurt so much, and you wouldn’t die quickly. Unless you get stick in the heart/neck/brain.
Do we know he didn’t try to commit suicide by poison, *AFTER* that knife was inserted, whether by accident or assault?
