It was really cold in Ningbo, Zhejiang few days ago when it just started snowing.  As it was cold, a motorcyclist took out a Panda Man suit and put it on.  This act shocked a lot of people.  The photo was taken by citizen Mr Huang who witnessed the Panda Man riding a motorcycle while he was sending his wife to work.  Those who wore the Panda Man mascot before claimed that the mascot is stuffed with cotton which can warm the body effectively.

Two-meter long iron chain was tied to the iron post at the roadside at one end, and the other end was tied to a boy’s ankle.  “I scared I will lose him,” the boy’s father said.  The father explained the boy’s mother suffered from mental disorder, and she was unable to take care of the boy.  He needs to work to support the family.  He lost his 4-year-old daughter before and this cause him to chain his son in order to protect the son.

The incident happened at the west wing of Beijing Fangshan Liangxiang shopping centre.  Chen Chuan-Liu was working and there were a number of frostbite on his face.  There was a cardboard on the floor two meters away from the pole sign, and on the cardboard was a stroller.  The two-year-old boy was sitting on the cardboard drinking cold milk, and the pacifier was black in colour.  A driver shouted “Golden Egg” to the kid and the boy smiled at him.  Golden Egg’s right leg was chained with a two-meter long iron chain and tied to a pole sign.  Chen Chuan-Liu went to work every 10 minutes, and no one was looking after the boy during this period.  The boy’s mother, Yang Cai-Hong, was picking bottles on the other road and claimed that she was pregnant again.

A driver said that Chen Chuan-Liu tied his son here since three or four days ago, and Chen would bring the boy back home after work.  Chen said his hometown was Sichuan, and he had no relative at Beijing.  He needed to work to support the family and no extra time to take care of his son.  Chen also cannot afford to send the boy to kindergarten, therefore he rather chained his son than losing the boy.  Some people advised Chen to send his son to welfare organization to let others adopt the boy, but Chen could not bear to lose his son.  Zhang Wen-Juan, Deputy Director of Beijing Youth Aid and Research Centre, said that there was a lack in relevant welfare system in current legislation for those children with parents as they are not considered as orphans.

It is said that ‘love needs a zebra crossing to be safe’.  Many Chengdu citizens would think that sentence is talking about the “Love zebra crossing” at He Jiang county pavilion.  The love zebra crossing is replaced during the Spring Festival and it is now Chengdu city’s red carpet.  Chengdu city traffic police said, “The painting of this love carpet is not only for newly wed, but also wish everyone who cross this road will feel the warmth and love.”

There was a filial son whose name was Dong Yong in Han Dynasty.  His family was very poor.  After the death of his father, Dong had no money to hold a funeral for his father.  Dong could only loan from the landlord with his body in order to bury his father.  This later became one of the story of “Twenty-four Filial Conducts” stories, titled “Body Selling To Bury Father”.

Maybe many people heard the story before and thought that was a touching story.  However there were two daughters who begging on the street to bury their mother at Dongfeng North Road, Chu Hui District, Hengyang City.  It happened in one afternoon on 17th January, 2009.  Two students appeared and squatted on the bank’s sidewalk, placing a casket labelled with “Dian” (means to settle; to pay homage to dead).  Right in front of the box, several lines were written on the road.  There were also several documents and photos right beneath the words, which included death certificate, cremation permit, and medical certificate issued by “Hengyang City People’s Hospital”.

It was suspected to be a con as many local citizens said that there was no hospital known as “Hengyang City’s People’s Hospital.  Some people said these liars had been moving around the city for several days already.  Many kind-hearted people fell for the trick and people were warned of the con.

On October 31, a bear appeared at Shanghai’s subway and it was wearing a face mask.  The ‘bear’ was about 1.8 metre tall.  When the reporter tried to take its photo, it shied away from the camera.  The appearance of the ‘bear’ did not scare anyone at the subway, but it attracted the passengers took its photo with their mobile phones.  After reaching the next stop, the ‘bear’ got out of the compartment immediately.

A naked teenager was spotted on walking dangerously at the high-speed traffic flow highway.  He was chasing after a tricycle quietly on the road.  The reporter who witnessed it talked to the teenager.  He snatched the drinks from the reporter’s hand while telling what had happened.  It was only then the reporter found out that the boy chasing after the tricycle was simply because there was water on it.  According to the reporter’s observation, the boy did not look like a beggar.  The teenage boy claimed that he was abused and beaten.  The reporter later noticed his left hand was swelling but there was no other injury on his body.  The boy refused to give anymore information after saying that.  The reporter who saw the naked teenager informed the police immediately after talking to him.  The reporter gave some money to the teenager for him to buy some clothes.  There was no further detail from the Shunde’s police station.

It happened about 7.30 pm two nights ago at a square at Hunan Road.  A lady who is around 20-years-old was quarrelling with her boyfriend.  According to a cleaning staff, the lady saw a shirt and the guy thought that it was ugly.  However the lady insisted to buy it, and both of them were arguing about it while they were walking.  When they walked to the square, the lady still thought that the shirt was nice and asked why wouldn’t the guy allow her to buy.  The guy emphasized that the shirt was unsuitable for her.

The lady was aroused, and said if he disallowed her to buy the shirt, she would undress herself on the spot.  The lady was only wearing tee and skirt at that time.  In god speed the lady removed the clothes from her body, left only underwear and bra on the body.  She lied on the ground and cried while asking if the guy was buying for her or not.  The crowds gathered to see what happened, and her boyfriend quickly took off his own shirts to cover the lady.  He immediately brought the lady away from the scene after that.
