Chengdu, China has recently founded a “Global Business Elite Junior MBA Class”. Annual school fee is 70,000 Yuan, and the graduates are able to enrol to American colleges and universities. The class is consisted of only 12 people, and the goal is to train future business leaders and industry elites. The MBA class was dubbed as “Second Generation of Riches” Class.

The first generation of riches sent their children overseas to attend universities because of the excellent teaching and living environment, and also the advanced academic thought. As a result, study abroad almost becomes one of the symbols of “second generation of riches”.

The “Junior MBA Class” was opened on September 1 this year. There were 11 students for its first intake. The parents of the students were successful people in their fields, including mine boss, businessman, CEOs of Food Companies, and real estate developer. Unlike normal education, “Junior MBA Class” has unique syllabus of teaching. Its language classes requires student to understand the pictograph, as well as Chinese literatures, which are The Four Books (The Great Learning, The Doctrine of the Mean, The Confucian Analects, and The Works of Mencius) and The Five Classics (The Book of Songs, The Book of History, The Book of Changes, The book of Rites, and The Spring and Autumn annals). Students will learn martial arts Changquan in their physical education classes, and Chinese cooking for their labor class. In addition, students’ etiquette will be specialized trained by instructor.

Perhaps the amount of textbooks you used during your education years didn’t add up to the textbooks used by each student of the high school in Henan, China.

Arthur Baby (nickname) went back to his alma mater Taikang One High for a visit. He took some photos and posted online to show apart from the high grain yield, Henan also had high production of textbooks. He said that there are too few places for Henan college entrance examination. The competitive pressure was really high there. He said each student had 34 textbooks.

He said a third grade high school student’s desk must have:

One Modern Chinese Dictionary (very thick)

One English Dictionary (very thick)

Basic College Entrance Examination Language Knowledge Practice Book (Compulsory Purchase)

At least one Language Textbooks (some texts need to be memorized)

At least one Mathematics Exam Revision Information (Compulsory Purchase)

At least one English Exam Revision Information (Compulsory Purchase)

At least one English Textbooks (Need to memorize words everyday)

At least one Comprehensive Exam Revision Information (Compulsory Purchase)

At least six Notebooks (Language, Maths, etc.)

Very thick draft papers

Some students also buy several copies of English weekly, mathematics examination exercises, and other examination papers.

The student drawers also filled with self-help books, magazines, comics, gaming console, CDs, cup, mp3, mirror, comb, tissues, and snacks.

Some people reflected that the amount of textbooks Henan high school students used were nothing compared to theirs. Many people were glad that they already left the hell.
